FitnessGym offers a wide range of group exercise classes for everyone, every day of the week. The selection includes indoor cycling, dance classes, and classes that focus on body maintenance and strengthening. You can either relax in peaceful classes or push your body to its limits while working up a sweat – it’s up to you. We encourage you to try as many different classes as possible to find the ones that suit you best. Our instructors are professionals with several years of experience who will help you truly enjoy exercise. Come and join us!

Dance-like classes

Les Mills Dance®

Les Mills DANCE® is an energetic dance workout designed by professional dancers, inspired by global dance genres and music.

If you want to experience the perfect mix of the latest music, simple but hot dance moves, and have fun, Les Mills DANCE® is just for you. In this class, perfect execution of the moves is not as important as having fun during the dance workout. The class consists of ten songs, each with its own choreography.

The class is suitable for anyone who loves dancing and good music!

MOVER JAM

(Not regularly featured in the group exercise calendar)

This dance-based workout offers you the chance to enjoy music, movement, and dance while improving your fitness and learning about different dance styles. The class begins with easy basic steps that serve as the foundation for dance choreography. Gradually, during the class, we will build easy choreographies one song at a time, which will get you sweating and raise your heart rate slightly. The class is accompanied by varied and engaging music, and the theme and content of the class varies depending on the instructor.

Fast-paced cardio classes

BURNING CARDIO

A dynamic, intense cardio workout! As the name suggests, this workout burns fat and improves your aerobic and anaerobic fitness. The class mainly consists of bodyweight exercises, which are occasionally enhanced with small weights. You will also get to practice your agility and coordination. Although the class is dynamic, the format is clear and does not include difficult step sequences.

CORE & CARDIO

As the name suggests, this class combines intense core training with heart-rate-boosting fat-burning exercise. The core sections strengthen the most important power center of the body, i.e., the core. The cardio sections get your heart rate up and the sweat flowing. The movements are mainly performed using your own body weight or additional weights. This class is also a great addition to traditional gym training for gym-goers.

Les Mills Bodyattack ®

A moving class set to music with easy steps but a brisk tempo.

The class improves your endurance and the functioning of your lungs and cardiovascular system. Your oxygen uptake and aerobic fitness improve as you increase your energy consumption. The class mainly consists of individual songs, each with its own choreography based on different themes. With the instructor’s help, you will find variations that suit your movements, from easy to challenging.

MUSCLE TRAINING CLASSES

UPPER BODY

Strengthen your upper body with this effective, targeted workout! The class uses additional weights to perform muscle-building exercises for the arms, chest, and back. The workout focuses solely on exercising the large and small muscle groups of the upper body using body weight or additional weights. You will definitely become familiar with various push-ups, presses, and bicep curls. The class focuses on good and clean technique to achieve the best results.

SQUAT & CORE

A muscle-focused “targeted workout” for the thighs, glutes, and core. The class begins with a clear warm-up that prepares the body for the upcoming workout. The training sections focus on exercising and strengthening the target muscles while gently raising the heart rate.

STRONG BODY

(Not regularly included in the group exercise calendar)

A timed muscle conditioning workout that focuses specifically on improving muscle strength. The class is conducted using additional weights, with an emphasis on good, clean technique. The movements are done at your own pace, so you can challenge yourself in the Strong Body class regardless of your starting level. The class is purely muscle conditioning and does not include step choreography or jumping.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING / HIIT

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

(GROUP EXERCISE ROOM)

Functional training classes are based on the popular Cross Training method. The aim of the class is to work the whole body, not just one specific muscle group. During the class, we train different areas in a variety of ways, such as muscle strength, endurance, mobility, and explosiveness, using different equipment. In addition to the actual training, we carefully practice movement techniques so that you can do your daily workout effectively and, above all, safely.

FUNCTIONAL GYM CIRCUIT

(GYM SIDE)

A full-body workout incorporating functional muscle exercises using equipment found in the functional area. The class consists of a warm-up and 6-10 different exercises performed as circuit training. With the instructor’s encouragement and good team spirit, you will be able to surpass yourself during each class.

TABATA (HIIT)

(Not regularly scheduled)

Tabata is a high-intensity training method based on interval training. During the workout, the rest periods are short, your heart rate rises, your muscles tire, and your endurance improves. The format of the class is always as follows: One work interval lasts 4 minutes and consists of 20 seconds of intense exercise followed by a 10-second rest period. Once the 4-minute training session is complete, there is a longer break and the next exercises are reviewed. The class includes jumps and high-intensity exercises that can be adapted to your own level.

CLASSES THAT PROMOTE BODY CARE AND RECOVERY

FLOW YOGA

In Flow Yoga classes, movements are linked together by breathing. During Flow classes, you will become familiar with basic yoga poses and, under the guidance of the instructor, move on to more flowing exercises. The class develops mobility, strength, endurance, and flexibility, and improves posture and body control.

YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is based on Chinese medicine and yoga. It is the most passive and peaceful of all forms of yoga. Yin Yoga movements affect the areas of the body with the most connective tissue. The effect is strongly focused on the spine, back muscles, and pelvic area. Yin Yoga poses are held for one to five minutes, and the practice focuses strongly on letting go – both physically and mentally.

BODY & MIND

Lempeä, rauhallinen ja palautumista edistävä tunti jossa keskitytään niin kehon kuin mielen hyvinvointiin, rauhoittumiseen ja rentoutumiseen. Hellimme kehoa ja mieltä hengityksien, pysähtymisen ja läsnäolon tunteen avulla – unohtamatta ihanaa loppurentoutusta. Body&Mind -tunnilla on ripaus myös joogan sekä pilateksen liikemaailmaa. Tämä rauhallinen ja miellyttävä tunti sopii kaikille ja edistää kokonaisvaltaista palautumista.

DEEP STRETCHING

This calm and meditative class promotes recovery and helps you to focus on your own body. During the session, we will perform long deep stretches, focusing particularly on the back and pelvic area. Holding the stretches for longer gives participants the opportunity to observe their breathing and how their body feels in that moment.
